(PORT ANGELES)-- Filing starts today for candidates seeking office this fall.

Twenty-two positions will be available on the local ballots. State and Federal offices include those of U.S. Representative, Derek Kilmer, and state Representatives, Kevin Van De Wege and Steve Tharinger.

Already some local races have emerged. Sheila Roark-Miller plans to run for re-election for Community Development Director. Mary Ellen Winborn has announced she'll also run.

Republican Bill Peach says he'll take another run at Clallam County Commissioner. Port Angeles city councilmember Sissy Bruch says she'll run as a Democrat for the seat if incumbent Democrat Mike Doherty decides not to run for another term.

This fall also marks the time for a new charter review committee, which has the task of revising the county's governing document.

Filing runs through Friday.
