(PORT ANGELES) The Olympic National Park is making a number of improvements to the Log Cabin Resort at Lake Crescent, as well as sprucing up the area leading up to the lake.
The Log Cabin Resort has a series of upgrades to restrooms and pathways along with the replacement of eight guest cabins and manager’s residence. ONP spokesperson Barb Maynes say public input is being sought by the park as part of this project.
More information about the project is available on the website for the National Park Service, and public comments can either be submitted by mail or via the web site. Comments need to be in to the Park Services offices by June 9th.
On Friday, the park staff and volunteers will converge on Lake Crescent for a one-day “Litter Blitz” along Highway 101 between 8:30 AM and 3:00 PM.
Motorists are asked to drive carefully this Friday as they near Lake Crescent, while park staff and volunteers, clad in orange safety vests, will be working along the 101 highway.
