Monohon files for County Commissioner

(Port Angeles) – There will be a 3-way race for Clallam County commissioner in the August primary after Forks Mayor Bryon Monohon filed to run for election today.
Monohon, who states no party preference, will be tabbed against Republican Bill Peach of Forks and Democrat Sissi Bruch of Port Angeles.
The candidates will be running for the County Commission seat of incumbent Mike Doherty, who has yet to officially announce if he will run again.
Doherty did file for a position Thursday on the County's Charter Review Commission.
Other filings Thursday include Patti Morris and Don Corson of Port Angeles, plus Sequim's Jerry Sinn and Dennis R. McBride for the Charter Review Commission.
There are now 55 candidates for 22 open offices.
The election filing period concludes tomorrow.
