Historical Society unveils new research center

(PORT ANGELES) The Clallam County Historical Society will open its renovated research library in Port Angeles to the public this Sunday during a hosted open house.

The public will have the opportunity for guided tours of various historical artifacts dating back to the 1880's. The renovated facility stores a vast array of items including maps, local history books, photographs, clothing and other written documents not normally open for public viewing.

The guided tours start at 1:00 PM and run through 4:00 PM on Sunday at the Historical Society, on West 9th Street behind the historic Lincoln School.
