May 22nd, 2014 - 7:44am

(Dungeness) – Firefighters call an RV fire in Dungeness last night, a “close call”.

Neighbors discovered the fire about 8:30 last night in very windy conditions in the in the 1300 block of Three Crabs Road.

Firefighters say the wind blowing toward the water kept smoke and flames from catching two homes less than ten feet away from also catching on fire.

The RV was stored on the lot of an unoccupied home, no injuries were reported and the fire was extinguished in less than 10 minutes after arrival on the scene. Minor damage was noted to the gutters of the unoccupied 1 story home, while no damage was reported to the two story home.
