Officers were called to Olympic Medical Center yesterday to reports of a man admitted there for a stabbing.

The alleged assailant was described as 30 to 35 years old standing about 6 feet tall with shoulder length light brown hair with blond highlights. He was wearing a dark blue, hooded sweatshirt and jeans.

According to police, the suspect reportedly stopped the victim on the north side of the park and asked for a cigarette. When the victim said he didn't have one, he turned away and felt a bump from behind. He continued walking to a nearby gas station when he realized he had been stabbed.

The wound was described as about a half inch wide and very deep.
