Sequim woman wins duck derby

A sun-drenched crowd watched 25,946 yellow ducks swim in the Lincoln Park pond Sunday and Rena Keith of Sequim became the 25th different winner of the Great Olympic Peninsula Duck Derby.

She purchased one duck and gets to choose between a Wilder Toyota Tacoma truck or a Toyota Corolla Sedan.

Second money of $1,000 went to Joe Watkins of Sequim and Pam Busch of Sequim made it the top three prizes for Sequim and won $500.

Port Angeles grabbed the next 8 out of nine prizes in the event

Big Sur of Carmel, CA won the VID race, with Zenovic Associates of PA and Eagle Home Mortgage of PA taking second and third.
