June 6th, 2014 - 5:31am

(PORT ANGELES) The Port Angeles Arts Council hosted their second forum this week, to see if the Lincoln Theater can find a new owner that will use it to promote the arts.

Amy McIntyre, who serves as the President for the Port Angeles Arts Council, hosted the forum along with artist and council member Cathy Haight. McIntyre says that about 30 people showed up for the meeting.

McIntyre said that both a profit and non-profit business models were discussed.

So far, no serious offers have been made on the theater, which is listed for $259-thousand dollars.

Since the theater was closed and put up for sale back on March 2nd, various local groups have been attending these forums and collaborating on a way to keep the theater open as a arts-based facility that would cater to local tastes.
