P-51 planes fly over PA, Sequim marking D-Day anniversary

June 6th, 2014 - 5:33am

(PORT ANGELES) The roar of World War II P-51 Mustangs reverberated over Port Angeles today, as a commemoration to the 70th anniversary of the 1944 D-Day invasion of Normandy.

To mark this important day, HFF has organized a very rare formation of P-51 Mustangs to visit cities and towns throughout Western Washington on June 6th, the 70th anniversary of D-Day.

The formation made a pass over Port Angeles' City Pier at about 10 this morning.

They'll also made a pass over in Sequim near Carrie Blake Park at about 10:30 this morning.
