(PORT ANGELES)-- A 35-year old man is currently being held in the Clallam County Jail for a burglary charge that occurred in Port Angeles last Saturday morning.
Port Angeles Police received a 911-call of a burglary in progress in the 2700 block of West 14th Street.
Responding officers noticed a red, Dodge Ram truck that was allegedly involved in the burglary.
Police officials say the driver of the truck speed off in an effort to elude officers. He was eventually stopped and Trever Gallauher was arrested.
Deputy police chief Brian Smith says the targeted home in this case was a rental property. He says the "for rent" sign may have been a beacon for someone to break in.
So far, police have only released the name of one suspect, but they expect that additional suspects will be named as the investigation continues.
Gallauher is currently being held without bail, charged with residential burglary.
