PA attorney to serve on State Committee

(Port Angeles) -- Port Angeles defense attorney Ralph W. Anderson has been appointed by the Washington State Bar Association to serve a three-year term on the associationís Judicial Recommendation Committee.
Anderson received word of his appointment, which took place July 10th, in a letter from State Bar Association president Patrick Palace.
The associationís Judicial Recommendation Committee screens and interviews candidates for state Court of Appeals and Supreme Court positions.
Recommendations are reviewed by the associationís board of governors and referred to Governor Jay Inslee for consideration when making judicial appointments.
Anderson is a solo practitioner with offices in Port Angeles and Seattle, but primarily practices in Clallam County.
He has been in private practice for six years after 10 years with the nonprofit Clallam Public Defender.
Before that, he was a partner in a private Seattle litigation firm and a senior trial lawyer with the Society of Counsel Representing Accused Persons in Seattle.
