(Port Angeles) – A Port Angeles man has been sentenced to five years in prison for drug crimes and bail jumping.
24-year-old Matt Malcolm was sentenced earlier this week after a jury found him guilty of delivery of methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine, and bail jumping.
Malcom was given a longer sentence due to previous criminal history that included other drug charges, eluding police and escape dating back to 2008.
Earlier this year, Malcolm was offered a plea deal to serve 45 months in prison but turned it down.
The jury did not reach a unanimous verdict of a separate charge of delivery of heroin and could face a retrial on those charges.
