North Olympic drops World Series opener to North Dakota 11-0

(Alachua, Florida) -- The North Olympic 12U Cal Ripken baseball team lost its World Series opener today 11-0 to Bismarck, North Dakota in four innings.
The Pacific Northwest and North Washington champions committed two errors in its opener
at Alachua, Florida and connected for just 2 hits.
Meantime, the North Dakotans pounded out 8 hits and led 3-0 after the first inning, then plated six more markers in the second frame, going ahead 9-0.
The final two N-D tallies came in the third inning.
With an 11-0 bulge, the game was called after the fourth inning due to the 10-run rule.
North Olympic will play again tomorrow at 10 a.m. Pacific time against Sylvan Hills, Arkansas.
